Falconing by Shaun Martinson
This 8×11 by Shaun Martinson has such attention to detail! It is in a wonderful carved frame, ready to go to a good home. Shaun has named this painting “Falconing”. He referenced The Hotel Bedroom by Lucien Freud, a painting which hangs permanently in the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. “I wanted to take the girl from the painting and put her in a different context and a different setting, loosening the tension that the viewer gets from the original.”
Shaun is a tattoo artist at White Lotus here in Fredericton. He loves that he can bring his creativity to work, where he uses his talents to their fullest. He also appreciates that his career gives him the freedom to watch the world go by while he drives around on his motorcycle, stopping once in awhile for a little fishing.
