Fall Still Life 15x15 framed watercolour Lynda Rae Burke
Lynda Rae Burke earned a diploma in Interior Design from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. She took one year of Fine Arts at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario. Since then, Lynda has taken courses in watercolour, printmaking, fashion illustrating, architectural perspective and airbrush from the Ontario College of Art, Ryerson Polytechnic in Toronto and from Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, Alberta. She also attended workshops at Sunbury Shores in St. Andrews.
Lynda worked in various areas of interior design until discovering architectural rendering. Then after marriage and two children, she began painting full time.
Her work has shown locally at Marba Art Gallery, Gallery Connexion, Sue Lawrence Hair Spa and Gallery, and le Centre Communautaire Sainte-Anne. She has also shown at many other galleries in the province.
Lynda’s painting style is influenced by Monet, portraying a love of flower shapes and colour, architectural exteriors in a natural setting. Something for fun is a brightly coloured line of sea creatures.
