Artist – Louise “Malou” St. Laurent
I’m from La Pocatière, located in the greater region of Kamouraska, in the province of Québec. I’ve been living in Fredericton for three years. As a little girl, I would feel an abundance of joy and deep peace while colouring. Growing up, drawing and painting became a way to express my deep self, that intimate part of me. That’s why I could never publicly exhibit my paintings, despite the encouragement of friends and family.
Then I discovered the Art Auction at Isaac’s Way and I felt I had to overpass my shyness, to allow myself to show my personal style and colours, in order to be part of this community gathering project that makes a difference in the lives of children. It is with humility that I dare to share the result of one of my wellness moments. May the hapinesss I felt while painting this piece go forth with its new owner.
