Artist Ardeth Maguire
A painter for 15 years, I work in the impressionist style in both watercolour and acrylic, with a strong focus on colour. Since 1996, I have been a member of the Fredericton Society of Artists. I became a member of Gallery Connexion in 2009.
Over the years I have studied the work of the French Impressionists and though mostly self-taught, have participated in and learned from many workshops. I was privileged to study for a short period with the late Robert Percival, a renowned Saint John artist. What I love about painting is the solitary striving to make something beautiful out of a bare surface. And I love the feeling of connection with people who appreciate my work.
