Neon Glassware by V. Rose Buerkle
V. Rose Buerkle spent her childhood near the shores of St. Andrews, NB. Both her father and his father were painters. In the last three years, having decided to focus more seriously on her art, she has been painting non-stop. Rosie says, “I enjoy the immediacy offered by soft pastels, and I am fascinated by their intense colours and luminosity. I particularly enjoy using them to portray the natural world, be it brightly coloured flowers, local landscapes, or a scattering of stones on a beach.” This original 16×20 painting “Neon Glassware” is her first work with acrylic on canvas and was created this past winter.
