The pink thingys are …

Original Painting by Angela Black

20x18 Original Painting by Angela Black

These pink thingys are actually thumbs, planted into the soil, and now they are growing tall for all to see. This is definitely an original, and we would expect nothing less than “original” work from local artist Angela Black.

In June 2008, Angela embarked upon a full time creative mission with Random Paper and Fabric. Having rather eclectic creative leanings, Angela draws inspiration from watercolour, print, graffiti, body art, as well as the rich craft making traditions she appreciated during her most recent travels to Africa. Angela indulges her many muses by creating contemporary hand-drawn images for screenprinting and binding leather, as well as designing whimsical art books. Playfully unique stationary and pop-ups continue to be integral to her rapidly expanding independent business.

Angela endorses the belief, community is commodity. She co-founded Fredericton Crafters, a local independent cooperative that aims to support hip and innovative emerging artists. You can find Random Paper and Fabric Designs @ ReNue Boutique, The Gallery on York, or at the Fredericton Tourism Fine Craft Barracks!
