Artist Statement – Nicole Ferris
Painting brings me much joy and is many things to me: meditative, blissful, fun, colorful, and spiritual. Painting can quickly dissolve the stresses of day to day life, and I can get lost in my studio with my canvas and paints for hours on end.
This painting was inspired by some of my favorite colors to work with as well as my new found enjoyment of using palette and painting knives in place of my paint brush and seeing the results I achieve by using them.
