The Embrace by Dennis Foran
Colours seem to flow and move across the canvas as if this painting is alive with a story to tell. It is a 22×34 framed canvas by local artist Dennis Foran. Dennis is originally from the Little Southwest Miramichi and now considers Fredericton his home, spending his spare time with his two wonderful children, his family, and his closest friends.
Dennis recently became interested in painting about a year ago, and was inspired to learn when he saw the wall of art here at Isaac’s Way. He started an art class at his workplace (Mental Health R.E.A.C.H. Centre) and now hangs out with artistic friends to learn all that he can about painting techniques and mediums. He enjoys all of it. “It has been deeply satisfying to be able to share this work with others who can also benefit from the satisfaction of creating art.”
This piece entitled “The Embrace” was done with acrylic. Dennis made the black wooden frame for it and says he had fun experimenting with colour and movement.
