While the city sleeps, framed photography by Ian Walsh

Born and raised in Ontario, Ian moved to New Brunswick several years ago to attend UNB to study psychology, and now considers Fredericton his home. Shortly after graduating he began traveling regularly and, unbeknownst to him, he quickly realized his passion for photography. What started out as something he would do once in awhile, quickly became his passion and he now spends all off his free time either behind the camera or studying the art of photography.

This shot, “While the city sleeps”, is just as the title says; it was shot during the calm of the night, from Fredericton’s Northside. With night time shots being the most difficult to take, Ian finds them the most interesting and challenging scenes to shoot as it takes a lot of manipulating to get that one great picture.
